Helpless deer rescued from drowning in 50-foot well in southern India


Forest officials rescued a deer from drowning in a 50-foot deep well near Vaiyampatti village in southern India.

Villagers found the animal struggling to stay afloat in the well and alerted forest officials, who reached the spot.

Footage captured on March 10 shows the rescuers pulling the deer out of the well with the help of ropes.

The animal was examined by a veterinarian and later released in a forest nearby.
