Hong Kong's Victoria Park a sea of candlelight on 30th anniversary of Tiananmen Square

Tens of thousands of protesters have taken part in a silent vigil to mark the 30th anniversary of the crackdown on protests in Beijing's Tiananmen Square.

Video filmed from Victoria Park shows protesters holding a candlelight vigil.

Writes the filmer: "This year has been especially relevant to the people of Hong Kong as the local government tries to force through legislation that would allow the Chinese authorities to extradite anyone in Hong Kong, foreign or local, they deem criminal."

Hong Kong and Macau are reportedly the only places in China where citizens can commemorate those killed in 1989.
