Hong Kong police fire tear gas into crowd of protesters

This was the moment protesters in the Wan Chai area of Hong Kong ran from a group of riot police today (June 12) during the second day of demonstrations against an extradition bill.

Footage captured from a highrise building on Queen's Road E shows clouds of tear gas billowing into the air as protesters flee.

The filmer - who was in a highrise building - said: "[I] just suffered the effects of some of the tear gas!"

Residents of Hong Kong lined the streets on Sunday to protest a recent bill which would extradite suspected criminals to mainland China.
