Hundreds of protestors boo the Sydney Opera House advertisements

This was the moment protesters gathered outside the famous Sydney Opera House in Australia as the landmark now is host to a plethora of advertisements.

The objecting Sydney citizens were gathered outside The Opera House today (October 9), to shine torches and obstruct advertisements being projected onto the structure.

The nearly 6000 capacity venue has had its famous "Sails" subject to projections of the barrier draw for the Everest horse race.

There has been a large local opposition to the cultural centre being used as a billboard, and over a quarter of a million people signed a petition to counter the decision.
