An Indian artist has created a giant Santa Claus on a beach by recycling plastic bottles to raise awareness for environmental issues.

Sudarsan Pattnaik created the giant Santa - 30ft high and 100ft wide - using 10,000 plastic bottles and 800 tonnes of sand on Christmas Eve on Puri beach in Odisha state, India.
