Indian politician gets slapped a political rally

A senior Indian politician got slapped in the face on Saturday at a political rally in Delhi.

A video of the incident showed Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, make his way through crowds of people in the Moti Nagar area of the capital.

He then climbs onto the back of an open jeep and as he waves to the crowds, a man in a red shirt jumps onto the bonnet of the vehicle and delivers a powerful slap to the Chief Minister.

According to police, the attacker has been taken into custody.

He was named as "Suresh" and is a 33-year-old scrap dealer who once supported Kejriwal but has been disappointed by his governance of the Indian capital.
