Indian restaurant turns floor into fish pond

Maheeshathu restaurant in Malappuram, Kerala, India has turned the floor beneath its diners feet into a fish pond.

Customers now leave their footwear outside, wade in the ankle-deep water and keep their feet immersed as they eat.

They also have to watch their steps to avoid stepping on a variety of small fish - released by the restaurant - in the water.

The restaurant owners say they want to offer a new experience to customers, most of whom appear to like the experience.

Some customers have worried about the risk of catching infection.
