Indonesian locals evacuate 3 metres snake during heavy flooding


During a flood in Padang, Indonesia, locals evacuated more than women and children, as they retrieved a 3-metre long python that was swimming in the floodwaters.

The snake was spotted entering a housing complex before swimming into the street, where footage shot at the scene shows some brave local people dismounting from scooters and carrying away the python.

The reason for this particular rescue was to avoid panicking other local residents during the flood evacuation
