Indonesian residents bury mysterious dolphin carcass found in shallow waters

Residents of an Indonesian island bury the carcass of a dolphin that was found floating in shallow waters.

Footage shows the dead dolphin drifting off the coast of Doom island in Sorong City, West Papua on July 1.

Locals can be seen digging a ditch and burying the carcass to avoid the smell of the decaying body.

The resident who found the dolphin, Simson Dimalauw, said: ''There were no visible wounds in the body of the dolphin so we don’t know its cause of death.''
