Instead of trying to catch them, he would immediately run back to his hiding spot and repeat the game over and over. The chicks were never touched or harmed. It was simply a funny interaction that perfectly captured a curious kitten discovering his superpower I grabbed my phone to show my daughter later, who was out of town visiting grandma."
