Little girl takes first steps after being told she could never walk

A 3-year-old girl takes her first steps with her brand new walker after being told by doctors she would never be able to walk or talk.

This brave little girl, Mia, has recently been diagnosed with a rare malformation of the brain called Joubert Syndrome.

Joubert Syndrome is characterized by the absence or underdevelopment of a part of the brain that controls balance and coordination, and a connection between the brain and spinal cord.

In this video, Mia struts through the room showing off her new pink walker, as single mother Mollie captures this heartwarming moment.

"She was absolutely chuffed with herself," says her mother, Mollie.

Mia continues to progress and grow every day.
