Lunar New Year lantern show kicks off in northern China


Dozens of sets of giant lanterns have been displayed on the second Chinese New Year’s Lantern Show, which kicked off in northern China’s Dalian City on January 28.

Impressive video of the festival shows the shining giant lanterns including a 12-metre-high pig, dragons, lotus and the ocean as seen from Golden Stone beach.

International and native tourists are seen saying "Happy New Year" and taking pictures of the pretty lanterns.

More than 50 sets of lanterns have been displayed on the lantern show and it will last until February 24.
