Major dust storm creates visibility problems in southern Nevada

A dust storm warning has been issued for Clark County in southern Nevada with strong winds and very poor visibility in Primm on Tuesday (April 9).

Drivers and the Nevada Department of Transportation reported limited visibility in the Primm area due to dust blows. The wind blowing this dust is now heading for Las Vegas.

In the footage, strong wind and dust make it almost impossible to see the surroundings.

The filmer told Newsflare that the dust "blocked out the sun, filled the hotel with dust and set off fire alarms in the casino due to how thick it was, you could taste the dust in the air."

A high wind warning is in effect in Southern Nevada until Wednesday evening.
