Major fire breaks out at chemical factory in west-central Indian state


A major fire broke out in Platinum polymerchemical company in Badlapur MIDC area, located in the west-central Indian state of Maharashtra, on Friday morning, local media reported.

Six firetrucks and crews arrived at the scene shortly after. Smoke released covered an approximately 4 to 5 km area.

There were no reports of injuries or casualties in the incident. The cause of the fire was yet to be determined at the time of writing.
