Major fire breaks out at rubber factory in central Russia


A large fire has broken out at a factory in central Russia that processes rubber goods today (March 17), resulting a large column of black smoke issuing out.

The Iskozh plant in Chernogorsk in the Republic of Khakassia caught fire. According to preliminary data, the fire danger area radiating from the out-of-service department of rubber goods has reached 1,500 m², and a huge black plume of smoke can be seen from any point in the city.

Seven fire brigades and at least 30 firefighters are now trying to put out the fire, which is still burning at time of reporting.
