Major pile-up on Chinese motorway kills five on last day of Lunar New Year holiday


A major pile-up on the Yuexi-Wuhan highway in eastern China killed five and injured four on the last day of Lunar New Year's holidays.

The aftermath video, filmed in Anqing City in Anhui Province last Sunday (February 10), shows passengers coming out of their vehicles to stay on the motorway after 23 vehicles had crashed together, while police officers arriving on site to deal with the accident.

The road has been cleaned up and traffic has since returned to normal.

Five people were killed and four were injured. The case was in further investigation.
