Man walking through a park struck on the head by falling tree branch

A tree branch fell on top of an elderly pedestrian at a park in southern China.

In the CCTV video, filmed in Xiamen City in Fujian Province on January 9, a tree branch suddenly falls down and strikes the 67-year-old Mr. Wang’s head when he walks past in a park.

Wang can be seen using one hand to cover his head immediately and then falling down onto the ground.

Nearby people witnessing the incident called the police and an ambulance arrived on site to send Wang to hospital.

Wang suffered injuries to his scalp and had a surgical suture, according to reports.
