Mariachi band spreads music amid chaos, arrests at San Diego migrant rights demonstration

A mariachi band brought lively music to Border Field State National Park on Monday, where hundreds of protestors were marching in defense of the rights of migrants seeking entry into the US.

Protestors, comprising a number of faith and community leaders across the country, called for the protection of migrants and an end to deportation. The march was organised by a Quaker group.

This video, filmed at the park, shows a three-piece mariachi band performing. On the other side of the border, protestors can be seen in confrontation with border patrol agents.

The Quaker group said more than 30 people were stopped by agents and taken into custody.
