Info from Licensor: "This is a Speckled Kingsnake. In nature, kingsnakes eat other snakes. Occasionally kingsnakes can get confused and try to eat themselves thinking it is another snake. Alcohol is irritating to snakes, so hand sanitizer was used to get him to spit out his tail. This snake is kept in ideal conditions with the proper sized enclosure, a place to hide, the right temperatures, plenty to eat and clean water. The snake recovered from the incident and is now doing very well."
