Monster hailstorm kills hundreds of birds in northern India


Hundreds of birds were killed as a heavy rainfall with strong wind and hailstorm lashed northern India.

Footage captured on March 3 shows dozens of dead birds lying on the pavement in Pench Tiger Reserve.

All dead birds - 590 Egret's, 360 Parakeet’s and 152 Crows - were collected and burnt in accordance with the Indian Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
