No traffic jams: ICE jams arrive on Canadian roads after spring flooding

Spring flooding and mild weather in Ontario, Canada have brought a disruptive phenomenon to the streets as ice jams are forming on roads, brought about by overflowing rivers.

Footage of the problem filmed yesterday (March 15) in New Hamburg, shows the neighbourhood with flooding across many roads and public spaces, with the water carrying numerous chunks of ice and scattering them everywhere.

Canadian weather authorities have issued flood and ice flow warnings for the area while this latest round of mild weather continues to cause the rivers to overflow.
