No way out of US city as flooding devastates roads and farmlands

Recent flooding swallowed these Nebraska farmlands whole as witnessed by a first-time flyer escaping the devastation left in its wake yesterday (March 17).

With all roads closed leading out of the city of Fremont, which holds a castaway population of around 26,000 captive, there is no way out of the city by land.

Pilots were offering free plane rides to Omaha, where the reach of the massive lakes can be seen from a birds-eye view.
