Plane crash-lands in Russian field after hitting flock of birds


A Russian passenger plane made an emergency landing in a cornfield near Moscow on Thursday (August 15) after striking a flock of birds.

Twenty-three people were injured in the incident, according to health officials.

The Ural Airlines Airbus 321 was travelling to Simferopol in Crimea when it hit a flock of gulls shortly after take-off, local media reported.
