Police jumps over ticket gate to save old lady losing balance on escalator

A policeman jumped over a ticket gate to save an elderly lady from nearly falling down an escalator at a train station.

The CCTV video, filmed in Wuhan City in central Hubei Province on December 31, shows an old woman suddenly losing balance while riding an escalator going up and barely holding herself steady on the handrail. Several people passing by try to help her but they all fail.

In another clip from a different angle, a police officer can be seen leaping over the ticket gate and running to support the woman from behind, helping her get back on her feet.

Thanks to the quick reactions of the police, the elderly woman was not injured seriously, reports said.
