Protesters clash with riot police during nation-wide strike in Colombia

Demonstrations in Bogota turned violent as protesters clashed with riot police during a 48-hour national strike against the economic policies of Ivan Duque’s government.

Footage shows police officers firing tear gas at a crowd of protesters moments after demonstrators gathered at Plaza Bolivar in the Colombian capital.

Men in hoods can be seen hurling objects to police officers further in the video.
