Rare phenomenon of incredibly dense shoal of wild fish in Chinese river

A rare phenomenon was caught on camera in a park in eastern China as tens of thousands of wild fish gathering in a river in a dense shoal.

The incredible video, filmed in Zhenjiang City in Jiangsu Province on February 5, shows massive numbers of fish piling up in a ten-metre-long line in a river at Jinshan Park.

According to a park employee Mr Mao, he has never seen the phenomenon in the 42 years that he worked for the park.

Since fish is a good sign in Chinese culture which means fortune, Mao thought the park could bring good luck for the new year.
