Rhino calf risks its life approaching randy bull wanting to mate with its mum

This two-year-old calf risks his life by approaching a male rhino who is wanting to mate his mum.

The clip, filmed February 23 in North Uthungulu, South Africa, shows the young calf timidly walk up to the male rhino checking him out.

Nature enthusiast Tim Brown told Newsflare: “It is normal that when a Rhino calf is weaned usually 18 months, the mother comes into season and males begin to pursue her to sire their own offspring.

"The problem with this is the rhino bull has one thing on his mind and that is mating with the female. To a two-year-old calf that gets in the way can easily be killed by the male Rhino.”
