Scuba divers team up with Forest officials to clean Indian seas of garbage


Forest officials with the help of scuba divers cleaned up seashore in southern India today (April 25).

Footage from the event shows scuba divers, including two women from the Tamil Nadu forest department, cleaning the underwater seas off Rameswaram in Ramanathapuram district, Tamil Nadu state.

To mark World Earth Day, all through this week, teams of 10 divers each went into the Mandapam sea area to clean up plastic waste at a rate of around 25 kilos/hour.
