Sloth rescued after being washed downriver in Panama

A sloth was dragged downriver in central Panama and was lost until it was found by resort workers who found it "scared, wet and hungry."

Footage, filmed on March 13 at Junglewood Falls on the MamonĂ River, shows the lost sloth clinging onto some rocks, until it was found by some passing by who were able to give it a branch to climb onto, allowing it to be released into the forest once more.

It is not clear how the sloth fell into the river, but it seemed very grateful for the assistance in returning to its natural leafy habitat.
