Smoke pours out of van after it explodes on road in China's Chengdu


Heavy smoke poured out of a van after it suddenly exploded on a road in southern China's Chengdu city today (August 5).

The dramatic video shows thick smoke coming out of a van engulfed in flames after it exploded on a road near Chengyu overpass.

According to reports, the sodium chlorate caught on fire in the van, causing the explosion.

There was only one driver in the car during the incident and he was not injured.

Nearby residents felt the glass windows shake when the explosion happened.

The fire has been put out and the van driver was arrested by the police. The case is in further investigation.
