Snake wrangler saves thirsty king cobra trapped in fishnet

A king cobra was trapped in a fishing net near a rice paddy in east India, and local villagers called snake rescuer Mirza Arif to help on New Year's Day 2019.

After getting the call to the village in Bhadrak District, Odisha, Arif freed the cobra and cut off the fishing net with scissors while holding the snake's head with another hand.

The snake is then offered a bottle of water, which it quickly gulps down, before Arif then puts it into a jar. The cobra was later released into the forest a distance away from where it was found.
