Snow turns iconic Niagara Falls into a winter wonderland

A storm system has left snow and ice built up around the iconic Niagara Falls, creating stunning sights for visitors.

This video, filmed on January 16, shows the Falls looking like a scene out of the Disney movie Frozen.

Mist and spray freezes in the low temperatures, forming an icy crust over the falling water, a representative of the park said. But while it looks like the falls have stopped, the water actually continues to flow under the sheets of ice.

The Niagara Falls region is expected to be coated in snow for the next few days, with the area bracing for more storms.
