South Western Railway strikes cause 'half a mile' long queue at Surbiton train station

South Western Railway strikes have led to severe queues at Surbiton train station, London seeing hundreds of people waiting in line.

Filmed on Tuesday (June 18), the queue to enter Surbiton train station can be seen stretching back around the corner and onto the high street as commuters are told to "wait until 11 am to get on a train."

Adam Neal-Jones, who filmed this video, told Newsflare: "The half a mile queue spinning around Surbiton station due to train strikes creating travel chaos.

"Even the Eurostar has shorter queues. You can see from the video it actually winds around itself at one point and then goes halfway down the high street.

"I was hoping to get the train to Waterloo or Vauxhall. We were told the delays would be until at least 11 am. So I had no choice but to work from home."
