Strangely mesmerising slow-motion footage shows off bird bathing

A strangely calming slow-motion video showed off how a gorgeous chickadee washed and dried itself in a birdbath in the eastern USA.

The small bird was filmed wriggling in the water, splashing droplets over its feathers and through the air, before shaking itself dry on the rim of the birdbath.

A bird watcher in northern Virginia used a pair of binoculars to record the bird instead of using traditional large camera lenses.

The peaceful video was taken in the Fairfax County area of northern Virginia, November 2018.
