Strong winds and dust hit northwest India ahead of Tropical Cyclone Vayu.

Footage shows dusty winds blowing trees and houses and causing low visibility for the discomfort of residents in the streets of Prabhas Patan in Gujarat state.

Cyclone Vayu is expected to make landfall on the western coast of India in the next 24 hours.

At least 300,000 people have been already evacuated to shelter homes, media reported.
