Thai killer re-enacts German backpacker murder for police

This was the chilling moment Thai killer Ronnakorn Romruen showed police how he murdered a young backpacker - repeatedly smashing her face with a rock.

The 24-year-old, confessed to raping Miriam Beelte, 26, after she arrived on the idyllic island of Koh Si Chang, eastern Thailand.

The drug-crazed local pestered her for sex but when she refused, he said he followed her into the woodland and pinned her to the ground before raping her as she screamed for help.

Footage shows Romruen re-enacting the incident with a what looks like a brick, he demonstrates the attack each move at a time.

The hooded culprit is dragged by the authorities to down a corridor to a press conference while being mobbed by media.

The footage was captured today (April 8).
