Thousands demonstrate in Toronto against Hong Kong's extradition bill

Thousands of people took to the streets in Toronto yesterday (June 9) to show their opposition to Hong Kong's extradition bill.

The controversial government legislation would allow people to be extradited to mainland China to face charges.

Footage shows dozens of demonstrators holding yellow umbrellas as they march through the Canadian city.

The march coincided with a massive protest in Hong Kong which saw at least one million people taking part, organisers said.
