Thousands protest in US, demanding full release of Mueller report

Protests and marches were held nationwide to demand a full release of US special counsel Robert Mueller's report on the Russian investigation.

The scheduled protests come one day after Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee votd to authorise subpoenas for Mueller’s report.

Attorney General William Barr released a four-page summary of the report noting Mueller’s conclusions that found no collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russian officials in the 2016 election but left the issue of obstruction of justice open.

New York protesters marched from Times Square to Madison Square Park. Among speakers were public advocate Jumaane Williams, Carlos J Calzadilla-Palacio of Youth Progressives of America and children from elementary schools.
