Three people seriously injured in shooting in Harlem, New York


Three people were wounded seriously on Monday night when they were shot outside a New York City Housing Authority complex in Manhattan.

At least seven shots were fired just after 8 p.m. local time at the Thomas Jefferson Houses at 112th Street and Third Avenue in East Harlem, according to police.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the back and leg, a 19-year-old man was shot in the leg, and a 17-year-old male was shot in the back, local media reported.

The wounded were taken to local hospitals where they were reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
