Three teenagers seriously injured after Cornwall cliff fall

Three teenagers were seriously injured on Saturday night after falling down a 70ft cliff in Cornwall in the UK, according to police.

The incident happened at midnight near Porthleven and near to the site of The Masked Ball festival at Parc Trammel Cove.

Police on Sunday released a statement confirming that an 18-year old and two 19-year-olds were taken to Derriford Hospital and were fighting for their lives.

However, later police said the injuries were no longer life-threatening but could be "life-changing".

The festival posted the following statement on their Facebook page:

"The Masked Ball is aware of an incident that took place last night around midnight near the site involving 3 casualties. We are working with local authorities to understand how this incident happened as the persons involved were not wearing festival wristbands. Our thoughts are with those people and families involved."
