Thrilling scene as crane driver jumps off falling machine during rescue attempt

In a thrilling scene, a crane driver leapt off his vehicle before it flipped over down a hillside during rescue work in Shiyan City in Central China on October 26.

Video of the rescue shows a man suddenly jumping out of the crane after it leans heavily to one side before tumbling from the roadside edge it was balanced upon.

According to local reports, the crane lost its balance because of improper operation.

The driver fainted and had several injuries after his escape and was sent to hospital for treatment, reports said.
