Tree Falls Right in Front of Motorcycle Rider

Occurred on June 13, 2026 / Johnsburgh, New York, USA

Info from Licensor: "There were for of us out for a nice ride going to Darrell's Diner in Long Lake, NY. Traveling about 50-52 mph, a dead tree branch just fell. The first rider, Paul just missed getting hit by hopping over the small end. When I saw the tree, I initially wanted to go left to avoid it, but I was on it too quickly. I turned straight on hoping for the best. When I landed, the bike just went over on the left side. Then spun around on the ground and I got up. The entire ordeal was four seconds from seeing the tree to getting up. Helmet scuffed, road rash on both arms, left hip bruises down to inside of knee. Nothing broken. Bike bent rim, broke bushings and road rash on primary cover and broken shift lever. Credit: Michael S Durham"
