Two injured when unlicensed drunk driver ploughs car into busy restaurant

Two people were injured in eastern China on Sunday when an unlicensed drunk driver ploughed his car into a busy restaurant.

Terrifying security camera footage, which was captured in Nantong City in Jiangsu Province, showed the white car speed across a pavement before smashing through the wall of the restaurant and careering into the dining room.

The car stops just short of a man and a child who are eating at a restaurant table.

Fortunately, the injuries sustained to the two diners were described as "minor".

Police are investigating the incident.
