Two suspected burglars spend more than 7 hours on Northwest London roof


Two suspected burglars camped on a roof for more than seven hours after fleeing when police saw them tampering with a motorcycle in northwest London on Tuesday evening (March 26).

From the rooftop next to Kingsgate Road near Kilburn, the duo was spotted throwing roof tiles at the police below.

"It looks like they are having a poo on the roof from here" wrote the filmer on Twitter.

Armed police and helicopters have been called on the scene after a member of the public reportedly saw one of the men carrying a gun.

A cordon was put in place and police advised local residents to evacuate the area according to witnesses.

Metropolitan police as now tweeted: "The two men who fled from police and climbed onto a roof in #Kilburn have been arrested. Both have been taken into custody at a London police station."
