Unlucky thief has to be rescued after falling into Indian village well

An unlucky thief fell in a village well in central India while attempting to flee after their robbery was foiled by villagers and police.

The incident happened in Garhi Malhara in the district of Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh state, on the night of December 8. Police had spotted the robbery suspects near a village and followed them, with one suspect fleeing while another of his companions fell into a well.

The next morning, villagers informed the police about the trapped thief and they arrived four hours later and together lifted him out on a stretcher. As soon he was out from the well he was arrested by police.
