Veterans gather in Dorset to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings


The Isle of Portland in Dorset held a D-Day anniversary service to commemorate the 75th year since the event today (June 6).

Veterans can be seen holding flags while wreaths were laid at the war memorial.

The Isle of Portland was used as an embarkation point for mainly American personnel in the weeks leading up to the Normandy landings.
