Watch the moment bear turns around and scares off tiger in northwest India

This is the moment a young tiger's plan to attack a sloth bear backfired as the latter countered.

The incident took place on June 14 in Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur district of northwestern India's Rajasthan state.

Visuals showed a sloth bear hanging out in a tree when the big cat climbs the branches.

Unsure about its to be victim's strength, the tiger occupies the branch lower to the bear. However, it soon starts to look up, understandably in order to attack the bear.

Anticipating the tiger's offensive, the bear moves a little and then gets up and growls at the big feline.

The noise may have scared the tiger as it soon got down from the branch and ran towards the bushes.
