Waterfall blown backwards by Storm Gareth gusts

Storm Gareth brought winds so strong it inverted this waterfall in the Mallerstang Valley in Cumbria, northwest England.

The footage, captured on Thursday (March 14), shows the water being blown upwards by the strong gusts of wind.

"With the strong winds and heavy rain of Storm Gareth in Cumbria today, the waterfall in the Mallerstang valley was being blown backwards, looking more like smoke than spray going right up onto the hillside above the waterfall all morning," wrote local weather watcher Jonty Wilson.
