Wild bear scooped out of Chinese dam after 14-hour rescue operation


A lost brown bear became trapped in a hydropower station before being rescued after a 14-hour operation in northwestern China.

In the clip, shot in Jiuquan City in Gansu Province on October 18, a brown bear is seen trapped against the metal sluice, trying to climb up.

Wildlife workers used a digger scoop to lift the bear up and place it into a metal cage built by three workers in around six hours.

According to reports, the old brown bear might fall into the drainage during migration.

It was successfully rescued after 14 hours and would be release back to the wild.
