Chinese man escapes being swept out to sea after large wave knocks him off his feet

A man luckily survived after being knocked down by a huge wave when he was filming it in eastern China.

The terrifying video, shot in Haining city in Zhejiang province on August 4, shows a man filming the tide on the shore being knocked down by the large wave.

Another woman standing on the stairs helped the man to his feet before the next wave came.

A woman can be heard screaming and saying: "Wow I did not think the wave would be that huge. Fortunately, the man went up. It is so scary!"

Luckily, the man only suffered scratches to his arm and back.
